European Veterinarians in Education, Research and Industry

EVERI represents veterinarians working in the fields of education, research, and industry. Established in 2005, EVERI serves as an umbrella organization for 24 national and European associations.

Its membership comprise organizations representing veterinarians employed in academia, public and private research institutions, pharmaceutical and commercial enterprises, as well as those working as independent consultants.

Education, Research and Industry

EVERI’s mission is to promote the health and well-being of both humans and animals by fostering greater public understanding of the benefits of research, innovation, and education in veterinary science.

We pursue this mission through targeted initiatives that support veterinary students in exploring alternative career pathways and by strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and research organizations on key veterinary matters.

One Health: humans, animals and environment

We live in a rapidly changing world where humans and animals are living closely together and can travel rapidly between countries and continents. In this interconnected landscape, veterinarians play an important role in promoting the health and welfare of animals, supporting public health, and contributing to environmental sustainability.

Education, research, and industry are essential to ensure that veterinarians – working alongside other professionals – can develop and implement effective programmes, policies, legislation, and scientific research. Together, these efforts support better health outcomes for all, in line with the principle of “One Health“.

 

EVERI is a member of FVE

FVE is the European representative body for the veterinary profession in Europe. FVE’s mission is to enhance animal health, animal welfare, public health and the protection of the environment by promoting the veterinary profession.
